I used to play this game a lot, but I haven't played for a while and now with the most recent update every time when I start the game, after a bit it gives me this DirectX error: http://gyazo.com/2d361fa6544029220f5032ca0f23d551

Okay, so you have an nvidia GTX 765M but it is not being used when you start BF4.

Try the following to be sure your discrete GPU is being used rather than the on-board IGP.

1. Open the nvidia control panel
2. Manage 3D settings, Program settings tab
3. Click add to choose the program to customize
4. Click browse and choose: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\bf4.exe
5. Set your graphics preferences and click apply.

Can you choose the relevant selections in the drop downs of the manual driver search here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Then download the driver installer, run it, choose custom install then clean install.

Reboot and retry once the driver install is done and let us know your results please.

• Manually run the following installers:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\directx\redist\DXSETUP.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist\vcredist_x64.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist\vcredist_x86.exe

• Right click and repair game in Origin
• Run System File Checker to ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
• Try a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

I have tried all of those and now I have noticed another thing: The error only displays whenever I tab into the game.
