BF4 Crashing on startup PC

I bought BF4 the other day on Origin, i downloaded it last night and whenever i try playing online on the campain it opens and then closes...? It does'nt show anything when it opens and it closes after about 3 seconds

Hello Everest60,

- Repair Game via Origin. 

Go to Origin -> My Games -> Press Right-Click on Battlefield 4 Cover and Repair Game.

- Install Microsoft Visual C++  Redistributable Package | DirectX Redistributable.

DirectX
Go to Main Battlefield 4 Folder then __Installer\directx\redist and run DXSETUP.exe as Administrator.

(Optional) Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer (http://www.microsoft.com/...) and run as Administrator. (Optional) 

Microsoft Visual C++

Go to Main Battlefield 4 Folder then __Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist and run vcredist_x64 OR/AND vcredist_x86 as Administrator.

- Install Latest Drivers for Graphic Card.

GeForce / Nvidia
http://www.geforce.com/drivers

AMD / ATI
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

- Update Punk Buster

1) Download PBSetup (http://websec.evenbalance.com/...)

2) Extract pbsetup from the zip in a random folder( do it, psetup needs temporary files to work correctly )double-click pb setup, windows will probably ask you if you want to allow the program, just allow it and then click “I Agree” at the Punkbuster End user License Agreement.

3) Click “Ok” at the update request.

4) Click “Add a game “.

5) Select a game in the games list ( Battlefield 4 for example ), OR click “Browse ” to select the correct game path.

6)Click “Add game “.

8)Your game is now added to the list.

9)Click “Check for updates”.

10)PBsetup is now updating your punkbuster files, wait for a while, a windows will appear informing you that your punkbuster files are now updated.

11)Click Ok, You can now close pbsetup.

I'm having the same issues.

Kameeleon, I have tried all of the fixes you have mentioned, and the problem is still persisting.

I have E-mailed EA, to no avail. Any other ideas?

Keep crashing on start up, the best ive had is some sound, thats all.

Me to started playing it again 7 days ago played it this afternoon was fine just went to play and now  its loading up and crashing done orgin repair still the same. What a piece of **bleep**

I got it working by lowering my singleplayer video settings since they are the same as in multiplayer. After every patch my settings get set to ultra for some reason, and my computer cant handle that. so i always set them to low and start up multiplayer to change the video setting to what my computer can handle. Hopefully this works for someone else.

I bought battlefield 4 a few nights ago, each time i opened the game it would work but it might crash later on but it didn't  bother to much. But last night i updated my laptop(i have a gaming laptop and can play every other game i have on steam perfectly) and now its crashes as soon as i join a server and this is frustrating me because i also bought sims 4 and it does the same thing. I am starting to get sick of origin and i will stop buying games and stop using it unless this issue is fixed. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Um den DXDIAG-Bericht auf deinem Computer aufzurufen, führe bitte die folgenden Schritte durch:

• Drücke auf deiner Tastatur gleichzeitig die Windows-Taste sowie die Taste R.
• Unten links auf dem Bildschirm erscheint daraufhin ein Fenster zum Ausführen von Programmen.
• Gib in das Textfeld den Befehl „dxdiag“ ein.
• Klicke auf „OK“
• Läuft auf dem Computer eine 64-Bit-Version von Windows, klicke auf die Schaltfläche „64-Bit-Version von DxDiag“.
• Läuft auf dem Computer eine 32-Bit-Version von Windows, ist diese Schaltfläche nicht verfügbar.

Der fertige DXDIAG-Bericht enthält verschiedene Informationen, die sehr hilfreich zur Identifizierung der Leistungsprobleme eines Spiels sein können.

• Die Hauptseite des DXIDAG-Berichts ist die Registerkarte „System“. Halte die Informationen fest, die für das Betriebssystem, den Prozessor und den Speicher angegeben sind. Diese drei Informationen sind die wichtigsten
• Bestandteile der Registerkarte „System“.
• Klicke als Nächstes die Registerkarte „Anzeige“ an. Halte auf dieser Seite die Informationen neben dem Namen der Anzeige fest. Auf der rechten Seite der Registerkarte „Anzeige“ findest du einen Bereich mit Angaben zum Treiber. Halte bitte die Informationen fest, die als Datum angegeben werden.

Hast du Probleme beim Lesen der DXDIAG-Datei, kannst du diese auch jederzeit als Textdatei speichern und einem EA-Berater schicken, um dir weiterhelfen zu lassen.

• "Klicke hierfür unten im DXDIAG-Bericht auf die Schaltfläche „Alle Informationen speichern...“
• Speichere die Textdatei wenn möglich auf dem Desktop. (Diese Datei kannst du dann an einen offenen Support-Fall deines Kontos anhängen.)
