I've got the exact same issue with an i5-2500k, 8GB Ram, GTX560 and 8GB RAM.

Tried everything - all Win7 updates installed - Nvidia Beta drivers (as recommended) installed but it just lags right from the loading screen through to the menus.  A buddy has a very similar setup with no issues however.

@Same problem here , i have a i5-2500k @4.6ghz , Gtx680 DCUIItop 4gb ddr5 edition , 16 gb ram ddr3 @1600 , Massive stutering and drop , but also i have notice that iam 100 % cpu load in all my 4 cores , and dont even touch 50 % gpu load while in crysis 3 i reach around 90 % cpu usage and bf3 at least 60 % gpu usage in some case 

GPU usage is poor in BF4 and also CPU usage is bug and seams to bottleneck all the cores , happen to all my friends as well

BF3 ~ 70FPS @ ULTRA

Same problem here 100% CPU but i got it to be manageable sorry for my bad seplling go to task menager preceses run the bf 4 beta fore me alone beta is using like 60 % and then turn off evrthing that u dont need and what u see is using CPU space all the browsers yes even the browser running the batlelog and i recomend instaling a gaming program witch will turn all unnececary programs and **bleep**... it helped me to play without big lags still have some but manageable... REALLY HOPE THEY WILL FIX THIS .... when the really bf4 comes out i hope i helped out somebothy...

Solved most of the FPS problems by turning off cores 5&6. Hope this helped someone.

In Quad Core there is no such a possibility... and turning coligation to 1 core instead of 4 makes the game work 1fps.

it is a game in beta....

AMD Mantle is not yet active on bf4. it will come out in a future update

i put in low priority BF4.exe and it works for me. is not perfect but a feel more fluid the game

How am I able to turn off cores? I have a old Gaming PC, about 8 years now. 

Specs:

Intel(R) Core 2 CPU

6600 @ 2.40 GHz

3 GB RAM

64-Bit Op

Geforce GTX 560 SE
