Unlocking the M1911 with no Gun Club

As people may know, Gun Club has recently been shut down. I recently got the game from a friend and enjoyed playing for about a year. I picked up some guys kit and it looked like he had a M1911, which I didn't know about at the time. My friend got the M1911 by playing Battlefield Bad Company.

I really want this awesome gun and it would be great if DICE could make the M1911 a DLC weapon, included with the B2K Pack. I thank everyone who could take this message into consideration by DICE and EA members, and others. Thank you.

-Daniel

EDIT: This is the Xbox 360 version I am talking about.

Heya Daniel, the M1911 is available to everyone with a veteran status from any other Battlefield game. If you don't own any of the older Battlefield titles, no worries, you can still get the weapon by playing one of our free to play Battlefields: http://www.battlefieldheroes.com/ or http://battlefield.play4free.com/

Log in with your Origin account (the same you are using for Battlefield 3), jump into a game or two, re-log into Battlelog and the weapon should be unlocked for you.

Note: In order to get this working, make sure that your Xbox and Origin account are linked together. You can find a short how-to here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-3/I-d-like-to-link-my-PSN-account-to-my-new-origin-account/m-p/...

Should there be any error message at the end (except "no friends were added") please contact a Game Advisor at https://help.ea.com/contact-us for further assistance with linking your accounts.
