SOLUTION! Battlefield3 on Steam [ Edited ]

This worked for me.

- Install Venice Unleashed. (here https://veniceunleashed.net/)

- Open the shorcut located in C:\Users\"YOURUSER"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Venice Unleashed\Activate BF3.lnk

- Wait until show you a message that your game has been activated.

- Open the game. That work for me, i hope it works for someone else.

Are you on steam? Uninstall the game and soft. Then reinstall it again.

...and now it doesn't work again

Before it had problems "connecting to the internet" to validate the key, now it just does the sitting at Initializing Campaign thing in Battlelog. I've had that happen before with this game as well as Hardline, and only sometimes did rebooting fix it. But so far Hardline has been working fine, just bf3 decided after I restarted my pc for other unrelated reasons that it wanted to stop working again heh. Tried u installing and reinstalling VU and running the activate bf3 link, which again says activated, but still stalls on Initializing Campaign...

Ok so looks like I have to 2 methods in order to get it running again lol. So when the game gets stuck on Initializing Campaign until I force Stop the game, I have to go to C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\ and delete the .dlf license file(s). Then that brings me back to the original problem I had where I get the pop up about problems validating, need to enter my key,  problems validating because i'm not "Connected to the internet" blah blah. And then I back out and do ur method; go to the VU shortcuts where the Activate bf3 shortcut is, run that, and then the game will work lol. And i don't have to uninstall/reinstall VU either, it can stay installed lol. What an annoying mess to need to do everytime the game gets stuck initializing...
