Game won't launch with EA Play

Trying to play BF3 with EA Play (from Xbox Game Pass), when I click launch it brings me to Battlelog and I click on campaign, but every single time it gives me this error: 

Your game session has expired, please log out and then log in again

No matter what I do it just won't launch. MP doesn't work either. I tried the plugin thing in settings, I tried disabling my ad blocker, it doesn't change anything. Why on earth does EA use this stupid launch system?
