I did that and that didn't work, and no I do not have BF3 on steam

1. close and disconnect EA-App

2. clear cache: Start -> AllApps -> EA -> App recovery - confirm

3. clear license (C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License -> delete all files .DLF)

4. update the EA-App (it is not doing automatically): Start -> AllApps -> EA -> Update EA-App - at least 13.363.xxx

2. restart your PC

Hi, I bought battlefield on steam, I turned on the game on battlelog and it gave me an error that I have to activate EA KEY, do you know how to fix it?

It´s aboslutley embarrassing for EA that they arent able to fix their own game and some dude on steam has to do it. @EA please fix this for the main game and give an update. Let the workaround to the community is absolutely lost. that shouldn´t be my time spending on fixing this issue

I tried #2, as suggested earlier in the thread, and it didn't work. I then tried #3, then #4 (my app was already up to date), then restarted my computer.

Battlefield 3 now works for me. Thank you.
