So I bought Battlefield 3 a couple of months ago with the origin ID of perkdrinker, then recently origin had this update that put all this security stuff on accounts so it asked me to log in so I did, then it asked me what I wanted my origin ID to be so I thought this would be my chance to change it to a different name, so I changed it to MrPerkoholic. But then when I try to start Battlefield 3 up from my desktop, it says that I need to enter an activation code, that of which I never got and never needed before. So now I can't play this game because they are asking for a code that I never even knew I got. Can anyone tell me how to find out what my code is, because I really don't want to buy this game again.

You can contact a Game Advisor here at EA Customer support: https://help.ea.com/contact-us
I recommend that you use the telephone option and the “call me” option so you don't have to stay on hold for a long time.
1 Click on the following link: https://help.ea.com/contact-us
2 Make sure you are logged in (top right corner)
3 Click on the blue button "Contact a Game Advisor"
4 Enter the name of your game or product (or "Origin" for account-related issues) and click "Find Solutions"
5 Select the type of issue and the platform you play on, and click on "Find Solutions".
6 Click on the blue button "I still need help" if the FAQ articles do not apply to your situation.
7 Select a contact option. Note that you may get different contact options depending on your country.

The solution here is simple, you will have to log into your old account perkdrinker that still exists and it has all your games attached to it. MrPerkoholic is a newly created account.
If you still have access to the email address attached to your old account, you can request a password reset at the Origin client's log in screen (click the blue text link below the password field). In case you don't have access to your old email address anymore, please contact a Game Advisor at https://help.ea.com/contact-us and they will be able to assist you further with the recovery of your account.

I don't think you understand my situation. I logged in with the same email and password, but it then asked me to put in an ID so i put in mrperkoholic. Once I did that it said I no longer owned battlefield 3. So I didn't lose my account I lost all the games in it, I am still using the same account as before.

Your perdrinker account still exists, I can see both, and MrPerkoholic was just created recently. So I'm pretty sure that there was a new account created by accident somehow.
Try logging into your other account with the Origin ID and your password. You can then change your email address if you like: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/HOW-TO-Update-your-email-address-or-security-question/m-p/1040072#M2...

I tried logging in with perkdrinker and it did not work with my password. Is there any other way to fix this?

You could try to reset your password. Click the blue text link below the password field in the Origin login window. This will send a mail to the email address registered in your account. If you still have access to that email address (and remember which one you used for Origin in the past) this should be an easy way to get back into your account.
If that doesn't work for you for whatever reason you will have to contact a Game Advisor at https://help.ea.com/contact-us for further assistance. Due to account security and privacy reasons we are not able to assist you directly with account or billing related issues in a public forum. The Game Advisor will ask you a few questions regarding your other account and if you can give the correct answers he will be able to assist you with the recovery of your account.

No, unfortunately, there is no other way to fix this. Please try again during the week and the hold times should be much shorter. Thanks.
