Stuck under wagon on campaign mission "Fall from grace"

I seriously regret buying this game by now. Whatever I do, I can't get past being stuck under that damned wagon in Fall from Grace. 

I tried all the hints that could be found on the web and here, tried tampering with my graphics settings several dozen times...it's a joke in itself already that you have to go from the best settings possible to some bad joke of a graphic setting to pass a game stage. If at least it'd work, that is, because it doesn't do anything to solve the issue.

I also tried to restart the scenario from the last checkpoint. I must have reached attempt 200 by now. You know what Einstein said about insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result, is the definition of it. He was right. 

There was even a post about this issue which apparently exists since the game's release. Some very capable CM closed it to stop it from being necroed. Yeah, because that's how you solve issues. Simply close them. Fixing bugs is overrated, I guess.

This is a game breaking bug, folks. It effectively kills your players' fun and you should take it a lot more seriously than "To stop the thread from being necroed I am closing it". 

So, having said all that, what's your take on getting my fun playing this game back? Because quite frankly I am tired of restarting from the last checkpoint for the 201st time and looking at the damn guard from under the damn wagon in resolution 1064x768 and poorest graphics settings. The only thing that keeps happening is the damn guard shooting me each and every time I throw the damn lure. No movement possible, nothing.

I understand how this is really frustrating, considering it's needed to get further into the Story.

your reply makes me think you haven't really read my post at all because in my post I clearly stated having tried those hints already.

None of them so far worked for me and to be honest, I am not inclined to try for another 4 hours. I already feel ridiculous enough having sat there for 4 hours, googling for potential solutions, reading here (the thread you linked is basically the reason I registered and wrote here in the first place)...

Was there ever a resolution for this? or are you telling me it's May 2021 now and this pretty major bug STILL hasn't been resolved...? I also have read through the old thread and tried all the hints and nothing worked. 

pro-tip: instead of closing threads "so they don't get necro'd" - why not leave them open until the issue is resolved? it's getting necro'd because the problem still exists... common sense... Otherwise you are just forcing people to keep creating new threads over and over for the same issue,

Hey there, had today same Problem, i think. I stuck under the wagon in Fall from Grace, just could take the lure and throw it infront of the guy, he saw me and give allert. Than he shoot me till i was dead. I tried several times, it seems that nothing would help, so i tried to throw the lure at a other moment, when he talks with the other soldier, and try to light his zigarett. Try this, maybe it works, if this is the same Problem you have.

Hey, I found a suggestion on Reddit that fixed the issue for me. Reduce your graphics resolution to low and restart the checkpoint. Your character can throw the lure properly and then you can melee them. Apparently it's a graphics issue. Hope this helps!

I can still conform that 03rd of April 2023 the fall from grace issue is still alive

As of sep 16 2023, still the same problem.

The low resolution didn't help.

I did accidentally mash the E and R buttons and it grabbed the lure (the lure being a bullet casing - wasn't too clear to begin with).

The loading prompt did mention using lures but there were times I kept getting a drink or getting distracted I just didn't read the loading tip.

No prompts or anything, to anyone who can't grab the lure, try the interact and reload button or just E and R.
