BELOW: FIXED FOR ME. No other suggestions worked but they pointed me to the logs and in the right direction.

I had the same problem with one game only.

"Plants VS Zombies GW2."

All of my computers worked except one. A Windows 11 fresh install on a new build. The game stopped working after a fresh install from an upgraded Version 10.

I was missing one version on Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 X64.

I had multiple versions but for some reason the fresh Win 11 install omitted to install the required version when installing fresh.

So check your Visual C++ Versions, not just install the newest. Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Docs

Prior to finding this out I had re-installed everything, Xbox, EA Games, the games themselves.

I had re-installed VC ++ newest versions.

I had moved from D drive to C drive and back many times.

The error in my logs was missing a DLL. I'm pretty sure that required DLL and placement for it were what was needed from VC 2012.

FOR FUTURE USERS!!!

To fix this problem for people using EA play....you must install the directX that comes in the files. Simply search through the download files until you find the directx program and click on it to install it!

Trying to play Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered. Received error, "There is a problem with your game’s setup". Tried installing on 2 separate machines and implemented all of the solutions from 3 threads. Nothing worked. EA-Origin is garbage. Switching to the xbox game pass.

@evilhikaru It didn't work for me. My windows version is 10 Pro V 21H2. I tried downloading all 4 media packs of the link but didn't work any. What to do?
