wall nut hill glitches

Anyone having trouble with the new mystery portal challenge in wall nut hill?   I've played twice and didn't receive any rainbow stars and when I'm the plant side I sometimes can't burrow as a chopper or use the Gatling when I'm a pea.   On the zombie side I can't use the turret gun with the engineer....

EA you owe me rainbow stars!!
