Problems with the Steam Controller in Local Multiplayer (PC)

★★ Apprentice

Hello,

I am attempting to use a Steam Controller and a Keyboard/Mouse for local multiplayer on the same PC.  However, the game thinks the Steam Controller is the Keyboard/Mouse, so it won't let them join the game separately.

I contacted EA Help via chat, and they stated that the Steam Controller isn't supported, and recommended I post here with my feedback.

Despite not being supported, has anyone gotten the Steam Controller to function in /local/ multiplayer, separate from the Mouse/Keyboard?

The steam controller requires the steam overlay to be running on top of the game. To do that you need to add A Way Out to steam, quit Origin, then launch the game from inside steam. The steam overlay should then replace the Origin overlay and the controller should work properly.
