Offline play

Can this game be played without an internet connection? I mean, if I want to play couch co-op, do I still need an internet connection to launch the game or can I launch the game and play in total offline mode? Or being online is a requirement for this game?

Just to pop in and say "yes", you can play offline with couch co-op. You should see an option from the main menu to play locally, rather than play online.

as playing locally would be like playing single player, i assume so, tho im not entirely sure, id need to try that once im on my pc today.
