How playing online work?

If I'm a PC player, those it mean that I can play with my Origin friends? I know about the friends pass, but does that game got Online co-op matchmaking? after all If my friend didn't bought that game s/he can always abound me and I will not be able to finish the game, if I left alone can I found another player online and play it? after all my friends tend to leave me alone (not only game-wise...)

as far as i know, this is not possible, you cant matchmake with a random person, but as release comes closer, we might get more info about that topic in the future.
