Friends list is empty

I just got the game with Origin Access, try to invite someone in game but the list is empty, won't show any friends. see attached screenshot, Anyone has this issue?

Hey @masoud919, I'm assuming you have a friend playing at the same time that you want to invite?

@EA_Atic No, they weren't. Should they be online to appear on the list?
