Cannot join friend (PC)

Managed to get into game with friend for around 2 minutes, get kicked off randomly then we're unable to ever join eachother again. For some reason whenever we try joining it always says that the other person is not responding. 

Pretty annoyed atm not gonna lie, could someone please tell me if there is a fix and/or when there will be a fix
