A way out won't launch local co op

When selecting local multiplayer options game just sits there

Just a fyi, local multiplayer is both players on same machine...ie you have to have two controllers or control systems to use, and both have to choose a player to start.

I am having the same issue on ps4, it won't allow player 2 to join, please help.
