Can you try changing your shot style back to 20 for the next 10 games and let me know how it goes? If it keeps happening, it's really possible that's what's causing this.

Roughly every 3/4 games. Strictly during club games in EASHL. I only really play 3v3 with 1 other person, so it would give us a loss.

Franchise Seattle bug when simulating

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When I'm playing in Franchise mode. I'm in season 25-26. I've made the expansion draft as Seattle team. I've simulated most of my games since the beginning. It happens around end of pre-season games and first 2 games of the season. The issue is the game keep loading and loading then the game shuts down after really long time waiting for the loading. It's happening in various ways.I explain . It first occurs when i was trying to change my line up in my AHL Barnaby Aces . I've notice that it seems to be happening when i was about to select '' Justin O'Donnel '' a 4th round in 2021 by my team. So when I've notice that I've tried to just don't change or even try to select this player so by doing that I was able to simulate to my 3rd NHL season game VS. VGK and then the same problem occurs the circle up right keep rolling and rolling and i can't do anything moving up down left right . I can press ''B'' to stop the siming then it seems its going to work but loading is coming back for hours. I've tried to play on 2 different console and it happens on bot and one is in English and the other is in French.

Pretty interesting thing happened. I changed up a bunch of things for my player and I haven't gotten the unexpected error in like 10 games. Going to share what I changed so your dev team can try to repro:

- Changed my jersey number from 69 to 68
- Changed my shot style from 20 to 19
- Changed my birth year from some date in 1905 to 1996
- Changed my City from Beantown to Balashikha
- Changed shoulder pads from small to big
- Changed jersey tuck from none to left tuck
- Changed gloves from Verbero Cypress Pro V1000 to Warrior Covert QRL
- Changed stick from Touche to Artic Lime
- Changed Blade Tape Texture from "OOPS" to Astute Starman
- Changed Skates from Baby Narwhals to Santa's Black Boots

Would love a follow up and this and to see if you guys can actually repro.

You need to consider console players also clicking on the video to see updates to the roster and I'm sure it wasn't 140k unique people clicking on the video.

Nobody is saying a PC port is impossible; it's just not currently worth the investment. EA doesn't have the monopoly either so if it really is that viable, why hasn't a different company made one?

Exactly and people saying that there isn't enough interest don't consider this. They keep mentioning petitions like that is the go to place for statistics..

Anyway the thing is that people are talking like a PC port is impossible and why not use Origin for selling digital copies only for PC then? and let people play with Xbox One Controllers like they already do to play sports games..

The market needs to be re-discovered as it is pretty much forgotten but EA used to release NHL games on PC every year and that was many years ago and now the PC market is even bigger.

It's time for this franchise to include all their fans like they once did.

I have reset my own connection and it did not fix the issue. It seems to have been occurring since 1.5.1 was implemented. The massive lags have been happening in half our games but the general relatively minor (but extremely annoying) input lag has been happening in all of our games. One of our games didn't count in which this issue occurred. If you can pull game logs from the server to investigate further our team name is Macdonald Auto Group. The best I can do is troubleshoot your connection. We're not aware of any issues currently but will definitely keep an eye out for them. It sounds like this is happening in about half of your games. Is that correct? Only over the last couple of days as well?

Its said when you start HUT that Playoff predictor cards final ratting will be determined april 6th. But now that regular season is postponed will you change that to later or are you going to stick with what its now if regular season won't continue till that day?

We only play EASHL and I use a wired connection and have never had this problem before. The guys I play with and the opposing team were clearly having the same issues as well. The Reddit thread on this also has a few more people confirming the same or similar issues at least on the east coast servers.

Massive input lag (3 second delay and/or not registering input) for about 5 mins during game for both teams, everyone just skated into the boards etc - happened in 3 of 6 games in last two days. This is coupled with a general noticeable input lag throughout all of the games we’ve played in last two days and it seems both teams are experiencing it based on sloppy ness of the game and feedback on reddit

I can't stress enough how much you should switch to a wired connection. Wireless is the biggest reason we see for lag and disconnects.

As far as the ice tilt goes, yes, we'll continue to deny it exists because it truly doesn't. I'd be happy to review any video of when you think it's happening.

Speaking of video, that's always best for diagnosing any issues you may have. When it comes to shots not hitting the net, seeing the replay with the controller overlay on-screen would show where you're aiming. I also would like to see how opposing players are passing through your players. That's not one we've seen reported in the past. It's also not something I've experienced in my daily play.

I definitely get the frustration. Competitive games can bring that out when they don't go your way. The best advice I can give you is to play offline and go into replays when something happens that you're questioning. You can see the string of events that lead to a goal against, for example. This can help you learn what you're doing to make this happen. When it comes to aim, try turning on the on-ice trainer so you can see where you're aiming better. If you're being stripped of the puck often, watch what your opponent is doing to maintain possession. Stick handling and protect puck are great for keeping it out of reach of defenders. Passing more will also help your team to keep possession.

When it comes to human opponents, try to pick up on their patterns. Notice which faceoffs they use in which zones so you know which counter to use. Try adjusting your strategies as the game goes on. If you never touch them, your opponents can recognize this and use it against you since they know where your players are going to set up. Also, try not to chase for hits. That just puts your defenders out of position and leaves wide open lanes for one Ts.

I hope this helps. Like I said, I understand the frustration, but blaming the game isn't going to improve your play. Learning from your mistakes as well as what your opponents are doing to be successful will very likely get you more Ws.

Just wondering how to get my guys to play up to there stats and how the ratings system works. I just played a game where heavy hitters Chris Chelios couldn't knock down Martin St Louis who was vulnerable and standing still. Why my 95 Gretzky with a 99,96 shot can't hit the net and why my players when standing in perfect position can't intercept passes. All my guys are absolute ghosts on defense and people just walk right through them. I have great positioning, use the pole check very well and use the skating tools well but there are sometimes when my players legit look like they're skating through mud when I'm holding down the analog stick. Meanwhile his guys turn on a dime, skate unbelievably fast, take the puck away super easily, and passes go through 4 of my guys. Just wondering how I get my team to play like that. At first I thought it was my wifi and the lag of the game, now I have bell fine, perfect internet, brand new controller, plugged in to the PS4 and still my guys are always slower, can't turn on a dime, takes a while for them to take off, look like they're skating through mud and I get embarrassed. It's quite frustrating when you're a good player, with a really good team and yet my team can't figure out how to play the game of hockey... I mean this is a hockey game right?? They're just out for a public skate and can't play. Is there a bug fix I can input or some code that needs to be put in to have my guys play on the same level?? I know when it comes to ice tilt everyone at EA denies it but it's so real for almost every game! Kinda stupid if you ask me

Coaching and line chemistry in franchise mode?

My question is regarding the coaching and player preferences. I have logged extensive hours into coaching and line chemistry. But have yet to find a definitive Haha moment where it makes me say ok I get it. How does the coaches preference correlate to the green check yellow minus and red x and how does that correlate to +5 or -2. From what I found player type is involved in someway. But my real question is this example

Carry

Cycle

Balance

Line 1

In my current save file with this coach and linemates these 3 players are a +3 my question is why?

Because only 1 red or because there is 5green and good player types. Also on the power play where is the players info for how they fit

Manual replay zooms will normally do it but eyes and visibly hollow bodies are pretty common all throughout the game during regular replays as well

Quick question, so I’ve received my collectible and everything for the GWC and on Faceit.com it says that the tournament has started but the 1st round doesn’t start till the 15th. Except when I go into the game it gives me the option to start playing my 25 matches. Are these practice or the real ones as I’m confused if it’s started or if it doesn’t start till the 15th.

If you notice any consistencies while it happens. Like, maybe a player gets injured on the play or there's a delayed penalty. Maybe a specific combination of gear. Possibly it has to do with the gear you're wearing. It's just really hard to figure it out since it seems to be quite random, but most likely it's not. Of course if you get any video, that may help.

Odd performance issue you're experiencing here. You said you can alleviate some of that with a power cycle. Have you tried reinstalling the game yet to see if that helps? HUT progress is saved to our servers so you don't have to worry about losing it.

If you have anything plugged into the USB slow try removing that too. If you're using an external hard drive, let me know.

We have lost soo many games and my CR has taken huge hits because of this. At least be able to detect when the game hits an unexpected error and don't penalize the team that gets it.

NHL 20 Franchise mode questions

So not sure if this is the place to put this or not. But I started a franchise in NHL and created the Manchester Dragons and their affiliate the Dublin Gremlins. In the off season I was able to make changes to Manchester's jersey but not Dublin's. The same with the mascot happens.

This happens to me every few games in EASHL, only this game mode. . It never happens in any other game mode- no other modes in world of chel or online versus. The game will lag for roughly 2 seconds, then just show the UNEXPECTED ERROR dialog.

I too have had this issue. This has been occurring for me for months. My EASHL team is in Division 1 and we have lost maybe 25 games bc I get booted (which leaves 1 player playing and forfeits the game). I will give any and all details to get this fixed.

As mentioned, this update only included GWC content. Nothing changed with gameplay. His instructions for manual switching should help you get the player you want to control more easily.

It's called build interest. The only reason I don't play nhl anymore is because your online pissed off my entire group of friends 3 years in a row cause you couldn't do a simple OTP.. Work on cross play all platforms. People will play if you make it easy for them to bring their friends.

NHL 20 BAP Classic setting not working

I just bought the game less than an hour ago. I have the Be a Pro settings on classic so I can play whenever. When I press the button, nothing happens. There is absolutely no response when I hit the button. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I enjoy Hut the most out of all the modes in NHL and I know they need to add to each mode fairly every year but I notice if you like one mode like most people you don't really have allot of time to play the other modes because your trying to excel at the one you been playing and put time into it so of course im partial to HUT mode more then any other on here so for one thing I like to see added for 21 is to let you have one player you can create for the one account and have him progress throughout the year by earning points for doing certain objectives but when you play a game with him you can have points subtracted if you lose with him in the lineup! but you can control what points are added and subtracted! kinda like what Madden added the last few years with there player progression but instead of a bunch of players just have only the one you can create when you create a HUT account so that way packs still matter!

I mean as you search in your collection where it says item type as you scroll through your inventory of stuff via player, uniforms, head coach, contracts ect. when you press a to bring up the item it would show exactly how many are on the market and what it goes for? also there need to be and option for home and away uniforms besides type, league and level!

You're able to manually switch by holding the trigger and flicking the right stick. I don't think anything was changed in regards to mechanics, just more Gaming Championship HUT content

What happend with this new update?

I cannot defend myself because i never become the defender between the puck carrier and the goal.
This update is more crazy than the others, when i after the drop usually become the player at the far end close to the board and nowhere close to puckcarrier.
I like to be a defender when they attack, but i also want to be the closest forward when i am chasing back to defend if i know i have a very fast player.

I hope ea look into this :-)

He doesn't advocate drug us but does make references. For example, he tells James he loves the Toronto jersey because the logo reminds him of a pot leaf.

There is also a specific line of dialogue in which he uses the shorthand form of the n word (at least that is the only thing it sounds like; definitely doesn't say ya dig). I mentioned this a little while ago on the main forums, and while nobody really paid attention, I don't recall hearing it since.

Plus his commentary is terrible. Instead of adding garbage to a game like Snoop Dog, try fixing the problems in the game. Like connection problems, removing goalies that leave the net. Can't any of you write code that can figure that out..

Also why we lose a contract when there a bug in game that make it disconnect before game start.
21 player losing a game contract without making coin from that game. Should not count as a game if it did start

Instead you make coin reseller making profit buying them on différent account and resell them between 300-400 double of original price. Good way to encourage Guy opening différent account and transferts contract to one account

I’m not happy because this occurred during a replayed game and I had close the game and was given a loss for it and I cant replay it again. I lost 500 coins and squad battles points because of this.

I'm basically 20 games in and go to "play next" game on the main screen and as the orange bar starts to progress it hangs and then starts making a sound and resets. Initially the issue seemed to occur upon moving Joey Keane from Hartford to Carolina for Julien Gauthier. Found a work around where I added another goalie to Carolina it seems to reset. Challenge is after the deadline it's resurfaced and extremely difficult to figure out where it emanates from. I also tried to "sim" the game/month and same issue. I've tried uninstalling/ reinstalling the game to no avail.
What happens when the bug occurs? When you go to "play" or "sim" next game the icon bar in the upper right will spin and then error out and make an odd sound (basically like a loud stuck sound) ultimately leading the game to shutdown and go back to the xbox one main screen.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to actually play, or sim the next game in the season.Other modes - 3s, play now, or franchise - work and progress fine so seems like an issue in the season mode specifically.

As you can see from others the issue seems to be a scenario that triggers all lines to go empty (unclear what specifically will trigger). Do we have a timeline? If not, when do we expect to? This is quite frankly unacceptable. Let's try diverting a few resources from HUT. We all expect more from EA.

Definitely won't get a refund as the player knows the stakes when making the purchase. It's gambling 101 but never bet something you aren't willing to lose.

You're already luckier than I am since I'm part of that 9% 100% of the time haha. Unless otherwise stated, these packs will contain all cards in the library so that small chance of a sub 84 card is still very high.

Chances are the exact same for every pack in the category - you were just unlucky here mate; I'm sure you'll get something better soon

Ultimate Choice Pack probabilities

As known Ultimate Choice Packs provide the highest chance on getting good trade-able cards for HUT. Without using actual money i got to buy that pack a second time.

Best pick i got from those 2x tries was 1x OVR 84 player. Everything else was between 80-83. Taking to concern that there is total of 15 cards each pack to choose 10 from and the chance on getting +84 is 91% and I've bought the pack 2x so its 30 overall and 1 of them was 84 OVR.

Otherwise it wouldn't bother me that much but I've bought a lot of 50k - 75k choice packs from the game and every single one of those has been better than these 2x highest priced packs I bought.

I already asked for refund but that most likely isn't going to happen... Even that it would be nice.

Also when i talked on EA Chat and asked about it because the probabilities i got doesn't add up in any way possible even with bad luck it doesn't make sense. I got this information that I attached to this topic and now i'm wondering that how much does this actually effect the chances...

Ps. First time i wanted to buy the Ultimate Choice pack i sold almost half of my team on AH to get it. Sadly even the worst players i sold was better than the best player i got.

I hope we/ i get more sense into these packs to it would actually make sense to save for them but damn... EA is really giving me hard time to do something like that again.

If you change to the overhead or zone camera, you'll be able to see the player on the far side of the ice.
