Summary

• For those with difficulty connecting to a game after updating the BattleLog Web Plug-ins, try the following workarounds:

Symptom

• You are repeatedly prompted to download and install the latest BattleLog browser plugins.
• Example message: Download and install the latest Browser Plugin to play the game.

Uninstall/Fresh-Reinstall

Before you start anything in a specific browser, close both Origin and your browser(s), then attempt an uninstallation via Windows control panel, followed by a fresh re-installation.

1. Access Windows Control Panel
2. Access Programs and Features
3. Uninstall ESN Sonar
4. Uninstall Battlelog Web Plugins
5. Re-install using the latest installer executable, e.g., file named like battlelog-web-plugins_*.exe

Chrome

1. Access the URL "chrome://plugins/"
2. Use the check-boxes to set both plug-ins to "Always allowed"
   Battlelog Game Launcher
   ESN Sonar API
3. Close and re-open Chrome

Firefox

1. Access the URL "about:addons"
2. Click Plugins
3. Use the drop-down menus on the right to set both plug-ins to "Always Activate" (instead of "Ask to Activate")
   Battlelog Game Launcher
   ESN Sonar API
4. Close and re-open Firefox

Internet Explorer

1. Reference the Windows registry modifications @ IE11 Registry-based fix for BattleLog Web Plug-ins
2. Close and re-open IE

If the above still doesn't work

1. Close and re-open both Origin and your browser(s).  Try opening Origin first, followed by your browser.

I tried the steps that say to uninstall/reinstall Battlelog Plugins and ESN Sonar, still didn't work. Moved on to browser specific and under plugins i see Battlelog plugins but no ESN sonar.  Ideas?

EDIT: Switched from Firefox to Chrome. Seems to work now, I dont know why.

Activate all IE add ons . worked for me. Go to web browser tools, Manage add-ons, Enable All, restart browser, redownload plug-in and run.

It still will not download for me... it starts to then disappears within a second

if using Chrome, make sure NPAPI is enabled.

If the issue continues, try closing chrome and all its processes completely via the task manager and then install the plugin.
