I have been having a problem with my entire system locking up at random while playing. It is only while playing Squadrons, but does not seem to have any correlation with what I'm actually doing. Sometimes, it locks up in mission. Sometimes, I am just sitting in the main menu. The entire computer freezes and requires a hard reset.
I'm running:
Windows 10
Intel i7 3.4 GHz 4 cores
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB
DirectX 12
All drivers are up to date.
I have no pending Windows updates.
All hardware has passed related tests, no overheating.
I have run installation repair and performed a fresh reinstall of Squadrons.
I have disabled any and all overlays that I am aware of (Origin, Xbox Game Bar, etc.)
I have swapped out different controllers.
I have probably done other things that I cannot remember at this point.

I ended up upgrading my mobo and CPU as they were getting to the end of their lifespan anyway. It seems to have fixed the problem.

Hey, @DoctorJono make sure that all drivers for windows are up to date.
You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Star Wars: Squadrons and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.
Worth to reinstall the GPU drivers for your PC.
Can you also upload a dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers.
Let me know if this works or not for you.
