ALGS Year 2 Championships thread

Went ahead and made a thread for some of us who will watch the ALGS championships.

I haven’t watched every single game but some of those were really intense and the crown cheering and shouting is way way better than just a twitch chat spamming POG.

Day 1 final circles. Rooting for C9!

Hey, we'll throw this one up as a sticky for the duration of the event.

Also Mako made a summary post for anyone coming in late.

One other thing, a reminder that we have Twitch Drops for those that watch on the official channel on the finals day, check the blog for details.

Thanks!

Watching it right now. LAN still very interesting. Seeing them APAC and SA players whom most people in EMEA have no experience with, mixing it up with the EMEA and NA teams is fun. It's also highlighting how Valk and Gibby are the biggest issue in the game, and of course how Seer was never really fixed. Incredible it took Seer this long to make his way into high ranked and comp, considering how broken his passive is.

@CCbathwater Not sure, why are they the biggest issue in the game?

Got to say, watching Furia is a lot of fun, total aggressors.

C9 also fun because of the comms (crazy fun and loose compared to, for example, TSM which is wound up pretty tight)

@Cheese9ManThese people do more damage with 1 Gibby ult, than I have done with all of the Gibby ults I have ever used, combined XD

Wait... on PC, you can have each heal item set to different keys?!?! You don't have to bring up that stupid wheel, in order to select a different heal to use??

Games so far are semi enjoyable to watch for me because of the Valk, Gibby, Caustic combo that each team has.

I really wish there would be more variety, maybe ban the most picked legend for the next two games.

And it's funny seeing pros have to deal with recoil on LAN and miss their shots :D

★★ Guide

It's interesting to see Valk ult getting countered so hard, with the ring closing and so many squads left.  Someone lifts off and the sky lights up with flak, I've seen a few get knocked on the way up.

The way these games go the Valk ult gets more dicey as you go.

@Cro_Pittt Okay, fair enough, biggest issue after hot-dropping.
