When your teammate(s) leave you lose RP in ranked game, but you shouldn't. [ Edited ]

Where did the issue occur? Returning to the lobby after a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. I was in that place which was Bridge before Season 2
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. I've been killed and left the game to go back to the main menu.
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? This issue happens in every game where the teammates leave the game.

What happens when the bug occurs? So if I'm right, then you should not lose RP when the teammates leave the game, but both of my teammates left the game and I've lost the RP, so this function doesn't work at all. Please, keep in mind that, you will lose the RP as well if only one of your teammates leaves the game.
What should be happening instead? When one or both of the teammates leave a game, then you should not lose any RP after the match.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start the "Ranked leagues" matchmaking -> ask one of your teammates to leave the game -> die -> when the whole squad has been eliminated go back to the main menu and you will lose the RP if your current rank is silver or higher.

As far as I know, you should not lose RP when the teammates leave the game, but both of my teammates left the game and I've lost the RP, so this function doesn't work at all. Please, keep in mind that, you will lose the RP as well if only one of your teammates leaves the game. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

LOSS FORGIVENESS

Similar to the Elite queue, there will be loss forgiveness in Ranked. Loss forgiveness is defined as zeroing out any potential losses in RP for a match. For example, in a Diamond match where you came in last place but had two kills, you would normally have a -2 adjustment to your RP (-4 from the Platinum entry cost, +2 for kills, for a net loss of -2). With loss forgiveness, however, you would have a net loss adjusted to 0. However, this will only apply if you stand to lose RP from the match – if you had five kills and loss forgiveness, your RP would still be net +1.

We will grant players loss forgiveness when their matchmade teammates abandon the game, and for other cases where we determine you are not to blame for leaving a game e.g. client errors. We plan to be more lenient at the start of the Series but will be vigilant in monitoring player behavior. We will become stricter about granting loss forgiveness if we detect it is being abused.

@EA_Blueberry Hello, thank you for the quick explanation. I think I misunderstood something and it looks like everything works as it should because in total I was in "+" at the end of the match, but I thought I get forgiveness for the -1 point as well (which is the cost of the matchmaking in silver) if one of my teammates leave the game. So if I join a Silver Ranked Match and at the Legend Selection screen I only get one teammate and we lose right away being down a player, I’m still going to lose the rank point for the match? Doesn’t seem right to me

This has been happening 100% of the time in silver ranked matches on PC.  My friend and I often get someone who leaves in character select, during the match, or sometimes we never have a third to being with.  If we get 0 kills and not top 10 then we always get -1 points when the loss forgiveness should be in place.  We have never had loss forgiveness.  There are many complaints about loss forgiveness not actually occurring.

Hello, I would like to re-open this topic, because I've lost RP in Plat 4 when one of my teammate (who was already in my team in the lobby) get a client error at the start of the game, so he couldn't join, but we lost the -3 RP when we died almost at the beginning of the game to start a new match with him, because we thought we will get a loss forgiveness for that as well, but that didn't happen. So the question is, shouldn't we get loss forgiveness if one of our teammates can't join to the game because of a client error?

@EA_Blueberry So basicly this morning I lost 250RP in gold 2. Had like 10 games in the raw starting as 2 people or someone leaves when game starts. And after I lost 250rp, in last 2 games I just get lost forgivnes. I really feel like someone is trying to step me back in the game. I think there are people who are able to check what happened there on my acc this morning. Cause its pointless me playing all the night game to advance and in 30min lose all RP without putting a fight out there. But I gues its all cause the game its in beta version still or I am wrong.
