YOU screw up with the servers and we lose all game progress. Why is this? [ Edited ]

I just played a game of Attrition on Titanfall and i'd gone up 2 levels in that one game but right at the END of the game where the other team are evacuating, your servers decide to go "nahhh bored now" and **bleep** up. So now i'm back the the menu with no saved progress. Why? Other games manage to save game progress after a server fault. 

Surely we should lose it all if we leave mid-game on purpose?

It's only 2 levels, you only lost 1 game, I'm assuming you're low level and thus will continue to rank up fast.  It's the same if you force close the game, on this game as well as CoD I know.  I'm sure there's others too.

I'm level 46 gen 5 and I did better than usual which is why I was pretty annoyed at it
