Sims Medieval Code

I recently bought Sims Medieval from Steam, but it won't run on my Windows 8 PC. I uninstalled and tried downloading it through Origin, but it keeps saying my CD key is invalid. Same for the Sims3 site. Help? I really would like to play this game!

I lost the code to open the special content, the 3 throne rooms. Origin knows I bought them on line and refused to give me a code they offered a lousy 300 sim coins. Im disgusted with origin and wont be using them anymore. I tried to download Island Paradise and it failed 2 days in a row. Pay pal never even recieved a request for payment . but today when I bought sim coin it went right through Mick
