I am having the same issue on a Macbook with 10.7.5 with 4gb of memory. I reformatted the computer and installed a fresh copy of lion in fear that maybe something else was causing the issue. No luck, It crashes instantly after I launch it. My daughter has been bugging me for days to get it fixed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled origin at least 5 times.
Please help

Thanks.
Your processor, RAM and operating system are the absolute bare minimum to play. Your Intel graphics are well below the minimum requirements and are not supported unfortunately. The minimum graphics requirement is - NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro or better. Video RAM of 256MB or better. The Intel GMA X3100 is not supported. There is no way you will be able to play Sims 4 on that MacBook I'm afraid

Move your Sims 4 folder out onto your desktop from Documents > Electronic Arts then try and launch your game again. Does it work?

macOS High Sierra
Version 10.13.1
MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014)
Processor 1.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB
I've tried re-downloading origin, re-installing sims, repairing the game, and deleting the origin file/deleting the sim file.
Whenever I open sims it shows a black screen then crashes after a few seconds. I've been able to play the game before and have only now been experiencing interruptions . The only thing that I've changed is updating my computer.

Updating to High Sierra? Hmm, that's odd. Can you please run the Origin reset tool and try again. If it still doesn't work please do the following:

Hi, thanks for a response !
I tried running the Origin reset tool but my game still crashes the same.
After that didn't work, I deleted The Sims 4 and right clicked moved to trash. When I opened Origin it said the game needed an update. The update thing was glitchy so after a few unsuccessful runs, I clicked repair game. Sims 4 + any extra content finalized and Sims said it was ready to play.
Yet when I clicked it, it still crashed on startup
