Sims 4 Cheat Window not opening on Mac

I have previously been able to use cheats by pressing control + shift + c. This has worked for me since I have downloaded Sims 4 when it originally came out. For some reason, it randomly stopped working and now when I try to open the cheat window, the menu bar opens when I click the letter c on my keyboard. Not sure what to do or how to fix it. I would appreciate advice, thanks.

Please try the suggestions and let me know how you get on. Have you recently installed anything on your Mac?
