Sims 3 game won't launch

Hi so my sims 3 won't launch it keeps saying theres an error and then closes. I have the latest MacBook Pro. Sims 4 works perfectly fine on my computer, I bought it on origin and I bought sims 3 last night as I stupidly have lost all my old sims 3 discs. And now I'm left disappointed because I still can't play.  

someone help I don't know how to fix this.
