Game progress does not save! [ Edited ]

Hey everyone,

so I've had this problem for a while where my Sims 4 game only saves if I never shut down my computer. Yet everytime I shut down or restart my computer, my entire game progress, families, houses, everything is all gone. It's very frustrating as I can hardly get an progress done and have to start over every time I log on. I've contacted EA numerous times and followed their help, it hasn't worked. I've uninstalled and installed the game again and that hasn't worked. Can anyone please help me? I have a mac by the way, so I need help with that.

Hi @Shez805,

Your save games are stored in Documents \ Electronic Arts, in The Sims 4 folder. Could you check if your computer is deleting or doing any modification to this folder when you shut it down?

You could try this:

1. Play the game, save and close the game.
2. Go to Documents \ Electronic Arts, copy the The Sims 4 folder and paste it into another place in your computer.
3. Shut your computer down.
4. Turn on your computer again.
5. Copy the The Sims 4 folder from wherever you pasted it in the step 2 to Documents \ Electronic Arts
6. Start the game.

Is the game you saved in the first step still there?
