Cannot run Sims 3 on my 4k iMac

Hi there, I just recently bought a new iMac and when i try to run the sims 3 off of the disc after installing the game, it says disc not found. I found a solution online is to install a copy of it from origin. When I use the code on the back of the manual it says already redeemed. I can take a picture of my disc, code, and the game box to verify I am the owner. I bought the game years ago and I don't think I have the receipt.

Maybe you registered that code back then when you bought the game in TheSims3.com? Sometimes people registered the code on another EA Account (the one they used in TheSims3.com website) If you have more than one EA Account, try login in Origin with them to check if The Sims 3 game appears registered in one of them. Codes can only be redeemed once.
