I have been getting the message that the disk is not authorized and I have done a lot to try to fix it. I am thinking the disk is broken (The disk has a lot of scratches on it) and the message pops up every time I try to open the game now. It won't let me play the game anymore which I am very sad about. I was wondering, would I be able to buy another sims seasons disk and put that one in? Would I lose my progress? Please help as soon as possible! I have spent a lot of money on the game and its expansions and I don't want to lose it. Thanks.

@dragonlover32 Is your computer a pc or mac? What is the version of the game? Is your base game in Origin? If your game was in Origin you do not need a disc to play. When TS3 was released EA used SecuROM and SafeDisc for DRM. These are no longer supported and the present DRM is Origin.

Can you please help me? It has taken a long time for me to figure out how to fix this and I still haven't gotten any closer to a solution. Thank you.

I did, but I guess you didn't see it. I'll post it here.
I am on a mac and I don't have origin. I was thinking of putting my games on it but I have a ton of saved stuff and store content and stuff. Will I lose that if I put it on origin?
Thank you!

You need to download and install the game digitally. Please read this stickies thread for instructions - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/CURRENT-ISSUE-The-Sims-3-Disc-Authorisation-No-Disc-Errors/td-...

Thank you! I just have a question.
Will I lose my progress and CC if I uninstall and download the origin version? I really don't want to lose all my hard work.

Do you think that will happen? Because I am reluctant to install the other one.
