Weird glitch with the villian quest?

I Got the "Give toddler a big hug" task so i did it right before i went to bed. When i checked my game it was glitched, my adult was cuddling the air and my toddler was on the ground doing what she does with the superhero outfit (she did have one on). She couldn't do any other action but she wasn't doing the action. It's not a big deal but it's weird.

It is weird indeed. Have you tried to restart the game already? Were you able to make her do another action after restarting the game?

If you mean if they were able to continue the quest, then yes.
