The trash can fixed itself, and i'm stuck?

I do NOT know what happened, but im on the Nanny Knows Best quest, aaand i have the 'Clean up infants mess' going on.

Well, i dont know what happened, buut the garbage can is completely finme.

I cant clean anything up.

What do i do? Its been a MONTH!

Let's try to find a solution! If you select an adult sim and tap on the trash can, do you get an option to knock over the garbage can? Do you have any other trash can?
