Sims freeplay keeps stopping + losing progress

It used to happen once in a while but now that I have more sims (8+) the game is stopping after just a few seconds playing and I lose actions I do to complete the quests... Its annoying since I lose actions like a 14h action lost after 7-8h that I have to restart!

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S and a Samsung Galaxy S5

This has happened to me 4 times since the game was updated on Feb 14-yesterday. I am not saving and exiting the game like someone suggested that may cause this.  I tried to turn off my Samsung tablet and restart, but it is still happening. I have 31 Sims and it is SSSOOOOO frustrating to lose all my progress on workplaces and hobbies. Is anyone else having this problem? Does this have anything to do with an event taking place? This happened a few months ago too, but stopped. Now it is starting up again. Please, please fix this!!!
