Kindle fire unable to connect to cloud for 3 days now

It was working fine the night before, but for the last 3 days I have been unable to connect to cloud. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I've logged out and back in on Facebook. I have an excellent internet connection but am still unable to connect to the cloud.
