lost game progress

This afternoon I could not play my game due to an update being needed. So I updated the game like I have many times before, and I go to play the game after it has updated and the whole game has reset.

This is around the third time I have lost all my data on sims, and the recent purchase of an expansion pack has made the loss even worse. My entire game has ben lost and the many hours I have spent on the game wasted. Not very happy.

I'm sorry to read you have lost your progress three times, let's try to find out what's happening to try to avoid it from happen again.

First of all, let's see if we can find your save files and get them back. Go to Documents \ Electronic Arts \ The Sims 4 \ saves. Can you see old files in there (check the modification date)? If there's something inside that folder, could you take a screenshot and share it with us so we can take a look?
