I'm not sure how / what happened to fix this, but I loaded up Raptr for game tracking, used it to optimize my game graphic settings (one of the features of Raptr) and now this problem is gone, works like a charm.

I talked to EA Tech support, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game four times, I even went and got another copy of the game. When I did talk to EA The man had no idea why it wouldn't work properly and put me on hold (it felt like 4 hours of waiting)! and plus he didn't know what to do. I just took the game back and got my money back. I wouldn't even give the sims 4 a single star! I think it sucks!!!. You wait so long for a game to come out and then decides it doesn't want to work! I will never ever get this game again. THE WORST GAME THE SIMS TEAM HAS EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!

hi everyone, its been 2 days now that i'm in the phone with EA support, they cannot explain me which is the reason for this problem they just told me that the company propably is trying to fix this issue that is coming so popoular and they asked me to wait until the new patch.

I is impossible for me to do this "solution" as I do not have said resolution.  It was working for a few hours this morning (10 Sept. 2014), but then it started up again later in the evening.
