Sims 4: Community Lots and Houses Missing or Invisible

Hi

Every time I move a Sim into a House already made on the Sims 4, it is just a blank lot whereas on the Map it is a house and

when My sim travels to a community lot, once again the lot is blank? It is also the same when my sim goes to the Outdoor Retreat world. 

What is the reason for this? and How can I fix it? 

Because I've been trying everything and cannot find a similar problem to mine anywhere

• Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?
• Did it ever work for you or was it like this from the start ?
• Is it the same if you build your own house ?
• What do Sims do when you let them act on their free will on the lot ? Do you have the feeling they can do stuff and it's just invisible to you or do they just stand around ?
• Are you on a PC or Mac ?

1. I haven't used any custom content or mods.
2. Has only recently happened, been like this since the new update.
3. If I rebuild my house and the community lots they work.
4. Sims can walk around the empty lot but there are no objects etc so all my sim does is walk around and talk to other sims on the community lot.
5. I have an Acer laptop

Could you start a new game for testing purposes to see if you have the same issue.

As in uninstall and reinstall?

No.

As in go to the main menu and click on the + sign in the upper right corner to start a new game. Make sure to save it under a new name so you don't loose the old one (or not save at all),

I have already done that and I had the same result

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.
