I was trying to move the Sims 4 folder from the Electronic Arts folder over to an external hard drive. I created a new folder over on the hard drive and moved all the files from 'The Sims 4' over to the new folder and than deleted the Sims 4 folder. I then used the cmd promt and typed:
mklink /j "C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" F:\Sims4Stuff
and it said that the junction link was created. I then opened the game and looked at the files after closing it. The Sims 4 folder reappeared in the Electronic Arts folder but now the Sims 4 folder has a little shortcut arrow on it. Is that supposed to happen and did it work, or did I do something wrong? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I downloaded Sims 3 last night, and after checking the size of the Electronic Arts folder, it said 2.37gb, which is the size of only the Sims 3 folder. The Sims 4 folder included would put it at nearly 4gb. So I'm guessing it worked! :eahigh_file:
