[MAC] Screen is not loading sims 4 [ Edited ]

I went to make my sims travel and it came up with the loading screen( green diamond spinning). The loading screen is moving and giving me new tips but will not load the game. I cannot close off the game or shut down my MacBook as the game needs to be closed. HELP!!!!

You should be able to force quit the game. If you cannot, then hold down the power button to turn off your Mac. Do you have any mods or CC installed? And have you updated your game to the most recent patch?
