Bugs with the maid services

Maid is standing and not cleaning the full time there, charges for the full-day and leaves without a clean house/apartment. Have tried to make a new family, fire the maid, dismiss the maid, and even tried only calling once in a while for the service and the bug is still happening. What can I do?

Do you have any mods or CC (custom content)? Try taking that out.

No mods and no CC on my game. I've tried to use the "repair game" too to no avail... any other ideas?

Do you have any toy boxes in your household? Try deleting those.
