Olá!
After installing City Living and check all new items out, I came across the glitch:
*There're not definitely new items anymore, but the highlight keeps there.
*I don't use mods.
I know that it doesn't interfere the gameplay, however it's an annoying bug and frustates me everytime I go to Buy Mode. hahaha
Is it happening to you as well guys? (Sorry for any English lack, I'm Brazilian)

The Contains New Items identifier for the Clutter category will now properly clear as expected.
This issue should be fixed with Patch 1.36
This issue is happening again for a different section
I'm going to lock this thread. Please use this one: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/N-DS-INPUT-SV-New-Highlights-in-Buy-mode-doesn-t-disappear/m-p...

I've noticed this as well in the same decoration category. I've noticed on your screenshot that your game isn't in English, as is mine (my game is in Dutch). Could it possibly be related to a non-English version of the game?

I have the english version and I have this too.
It only happens if you have CL installed though.

Hello, I'm sorry for digging up an old topic, but this bug is back. I just installed "City Living" and the Decorations - Clutter icon remains yellow, even when there aren't any new objects in this category anymore. Has this happened to anyone else?
EDIT: My game is also in English.

we have a new thread for this one as it's a new item.
Moved yours over to the new thread

I have the same issue with CL installed. Glad it has been reported already. For those people that are looking for a temporary solution until this is fixed, the work-around from the old topic works perfectly fine here too. Check it out:

Same here. In Build Mode, if you go to Objects by Function -> Decorations drop-down -> Clutter category, it shows that it Contains New Items, even though nothing new is ever displayed. Although this issue is not affecting actual Gameplay, it is annoying that it stays highlighted whilst the rest of the categories are displayed in the correct shading. - JTL 11/20/2016

Posting this from another thread as workaround

For anyone who wants to fix this by yourself:
1. Locate your "ReticulatedSplinesView" file in your "The Sims 4" folder (the same place for your mods folder)
2. Open the file with a hex editor (I use HxD which is free)
3. Search for "1D 10 01" and replace them all with "1D 10 04" (datetype is hex-values)
4. Save the file and start your game; the new item highlighting that was previously stuck should be gone
