Willing to share your save game ?
If so, please zip up this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves and drop the file to this Mediafire-Link to upload.
Please make sure to name the zip file with your user name.

Is your game running on the AMD or the Intel chip ? Are you using one or two monitors ?

I do use mods, but I've played for about two sims weeks now and it hasn't did this any other times, so I don't think it's those. It's only happened once it's not reoccurring as far I can tell.
I will post my dxdiag file.
