Camera disappears

I was practising with Photography, but when I clicked on the camera in my sims inventory, it just disappeared.

I thought maybe it had been accidentally placed somewhere else on the lot, although I couldn't find it.

So I bought another camera. Then the same exact thing happened.

It is not in any of their personal inventories or the household inventory and I can't see it on any other surfaces.

I don't use any mods or cc.

Could you try repairing the game and also start a fresh game for testing purposes.

Does it matter which camera you buy ?
