Does it actually crash or never start at all ?
- How far do you get, try to describe what happens in as much details as possible (without getting too lenghty)
- Do all installed games show up in the Origin client ?
- Which base game version do you have: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2014/02/sims-3-base-game-versions.html
- Which Security Software are you using (Firewall, Antivirus) ?
- Do you have the disc or download version or a mix ?
- Do you have any files with xctp in your documents\electronicarts\thesims3\ folder ? (those are crash logs) ?

Both your CPU and your graphics chip are below EA's minimum specs.
Everytime you add a patch or an EP it can happen that the game doesn't run anymore BUT I do not think that this will cause the error you're seeing. It wou do be more like choppy gameplay.
What dates do the crash logs file have ? Are they newer (trying to figure out if your game never starts or crashes right away).
Could you also post this info:
- Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel
- Press Enter to proceed.
- A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.
- After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 3 Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"
- Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.
