my cc hair is orange at the ends

Hi,

 so i'm very new to the whole sims and custom content thing. I recently downloaded hair from a reliable source that my friends use.then I went to go play the game and the hair looked crazy. it was blocky like looking and squared off,  and everywhere that wasn't squared off was looked like *. I wish I could bring up a photo but I don't know how , I am a real noob sorry, this scared the * out of me and I didn't save and exited and went back in multiple times and it still doesn't work.its all custom content hair what do I need to do to fix this problem, mileyindifferent:

ok so my cc hair has turned blocky and.......... orange no matter what color change it its still orange and this is the sims 4 please someone help me ive done everything I restarted the game ive done everything I NEED HELP
