So about a year ago i got the Sims 3 and isntalled it onto my home computer and my laptop with no problems. Now my home computer is very old (it was old when i installed the sims on it) and i want to get rid of it. I also want to instal Sims 3 onto my new computer, but this violates the "two computers per game" rule. So i uninstalled The Sims 3 from my old home computer, but my new computer doesn't recognize that my sims game no longer is on the old computer and still says i can't install it.
If anyone knows how to fix this, that would really help me. Thanks!

I have Origin and was able to install the expansion pack (Seasons), but it won't let me play until the original Sims is installed. I tried entering the code in, but I had already installed the code on another (old) computer and it won't let me register that same code on my new laptop... How can I get the game on my new computer since I am not going to be using it on my old computer??

@scoots_magoots13 Once a product code has been registered in Origin, it can't be used again. But you should be able to download the base game from whichever account you used to register Sims 3 in the first place. If you're not sure what account you used back then, contact EA customer support for help.
