Video Card HELP!!!

I am havign trouble with my video card. I have the AMD 670G and ever since buying the Sims 3 Seasons my game has slowed. The grafics get blocky and take longer to load. For exanple when it snows my game gets so slow it eventually stops! I can turn the snow off but I don't see the point in having winter if it can't even snow without causing me problems. On top of that sometimes I get the error code 14, saying I can't save which is the worst when I've been playing for more than an hour and everything is lost. All I'm wondering is, is there a new requirement for the Sims 3 Season's video card for Windows Vista?
