University Life Keeps Updating

When I open Sims 3 on Origin, it says the game needs to update. I update it and then click to play. The game closes and I have to reopen in Origin again and it gives me the same "game needs to update" notification. What's happening? This is becoming an endless loop that's starting to get frustrating.

Try right-clicking on the game in Origin and choose repair game.
