When I open my Sims 3 launcher I get this error message saying unable to connect to ea download manager.
Yes I have to latest version of origin
yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled origin I even uinstalled and reinstalled the game!!
What is going on and how can I fix this it is really fustrating

when i try to run it a message pops up saying the 'installed version could not be determined. the setup will now terminate'
may there be something wrong with my computer or....

What is your base game version right now ?
To find out, open your launcher and hover over the little base game icon in the lower left part of the launcher. It should say 1.39.

nope im stuck on 1.21 and i only have generations that i installled that brought my game version to 1.21
I cant play because its not compatible with the ep

It's always helpful to post the error messages you're getting.
If you have a file not found or invalid file error, try the manual super patch and not the incremental one.

well i have installed sims 3 on my laptop and i didnt get the error message.
I guess something was wrong with my desktop i dont know but im going to play it on my laptop from now on
