The sims 3/ installation problems.

Hi

I just got my new macbook pro, and wanted to install the sims 3 on it. It all works out perfectly, until I come to the installation part. It starts by dowloading files (there are 517 files to download) but by the time it reaches the third file, it just stops. The estimated time just increases as the time goes, and right now it says the installation will be finished after 1141 minutes. This is the second time i've tried to install it, but it just stops at the third file. Is it because of the cd? Becase I bought it a long time ago, at the times when the sims 3 just had come out.

I tried to download the Sims 3 island paradise and it didn't work plus I even deleted every game of mine it still doesn't work
